Seven 11 Blog Hop: Naked

Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s Seven 11 Blog Hop day, and I’m so thrilled to share a teaser from Tessa and Justin’s story, Cherished By You (Love in the City, #4)! I’ve had so much fun writing them! I promise to have a definite release date for the book and preorder links soon (once I actually finish writing it)! Stay tune for all that good stuff; I will post it here first! For now, enjoy a glimpse into their story:

Standing before me with the towel still knotted at his waist, the boyish grin on his face grew. “Shower’s all yours.”

“Thanks,” I noted, fully composed.

“No problem.” He started toward his room, but stopped halfway down the hall and glanced over his shoulder. “Do you mind me asking, what were you doing?”

I crossed my arms over my robe and shrugged nonchalantly. “Just dancing.”

“Naked?” he asked curiously, delighting in my discomfort. “In the apartment?”

Seven 11 Blog Hop: Gaining A Vagina

Many of you have been asking about the next book in the Love in the City series. Well, lucky for you, it’s that special time of the month! No, I don’t mean the Aunt Flow kind; I mean, the Seven 11 Blog Hop kind, where a group of authors blog seven-line teasers/snippets from their current work-in-progress or previously published work on the 11th of each month! This month, my snippet is from Cherished By You (Love in the City, #4), brought to you by Justin Jameson and the Love in the City guys! (I love writing the guy scenes!) Enjoy:

“I almost want to ask Tessa to stop cooking,” I said, resting my hands on my knees. “I think I’ve gained weight since she moved in.”

“Did you gain a vagina, too?” Cash asked.

“You know,” Fletcher said, spinning the basketball atop his finger. “You could just work the weight off by having sex with her.”

Standing straight, I sighed and looked at the four of them. “For the millionth time, we are not having sex! We’re just friends.”

Ooh, I know what you’re thinking: Poor Tessa, no sexy times for her! YET. I promise, sex will be had and it will be phenomenal and totally worth the wait! But for now, there may or may not be a bet going on when Tessa and Justin will do it.

Since I can’t seem to stop sharing, I also want to show off the beautiful cover for Cherished By You done by Michelle at IndieBookCovers as well as the blurb! Be sure to add it to your Goodreads! This cover is my absolute favorite out of all the Love in the City covers!

“Move in with me,” he said.

“I can’t,” she replied.

Justin Jameson quit looking for a woman after being used so many times for his brains. A bit of an introvert and completely oblivious to women’s advances, he can’t even see that his friend cherishes everything about him.

When Tessa needs a place to stay, Justin’s the first to offer her a room. Hearts are opened; feelings are ventured. They’ll finally know what it’s like to be cherished in the city until one moment threatens the relationship they’ve built.

“I can’t lose you.”

I laughed and turned to her. It was kind of cute watching her get all excited over her creation. She’d baked and decorated Carter and Elly’s wedding cake, and it’d looked like a work of art. But I couldn’t let her know that. “Then, Ms. Easy Bake, what do you suggest?”

“Hey, I’m no Easy Bake,” she retorted, smacking my bicep. She glanced at the tray again and pointed to a couple of pieces. “Give us two of the white chocolate peanut butter.”

“So you have a toothbrush here now?” I asked curiously, in my least bitchiest tone. But that was my bathroom. How could I not notice his things starting to takeover? Okay, it was just a toothbrush but still. What’s next? His clothes needing a drawer? His guy things taking up half of my closet? No. Not happening.

“No,” he said, smiling back at me. “This is your toothbrush.”

“WHAT!” Jumping out of bed, I ran to the bathroom, pulled the brush out of his hands and noticed the pink and white handle, indicating it was in fact my toothbrush that he was using on his perfectly straight, pearly whites. “Why the hell are you using my toothbrush?! That is so gross!”

Seven 11 Blog Hop + Veterans Day

Not only would I like to wish everyone a Happy Veterans Day, but I’d also like to share a little snippet from Pleasured By You since today also happens to be Seven 11 Blog Hop day, where a bunch of us authors share seven lines from our work-in-progresses or some of our previous work on the 11th of each month. So today, I’m giving you a bit of Fletcher Haney. He’s so different from Carter Jennings and Maverick Jones that I’ve easily found myself falling in love with him the more I write his and Bayler’s story. (I would like to note though that this teaser hasn’t been edited so it is subject to change.) Here you go:

She was my target, and now I was hers. Happy fucking New Year’s.

She stopped beside me and studied my face for a moment before the sexy smirk on her lips pulled up into a full, killer smile. “You’ve been watching me since you walked into the lounge.”

So, you noticed. Well played, woman. Stepping closer to her, I tilted my mouth toward her ear so only she could hear me, and then I reached out and brushed my hand down the curve of her bare spine. “You’re practically half naked in the dead of winter. Of course, I’ve been watching you.”

As you know by now, the colors of my covers in the series all represent an awareness or cause. Today is extra special because of Veterans Day. There’s a new character I introduce to the Love in the City series in Pleasured By You who lost his father during the war in Iraq. Not only does the yellow on the cover represent hope, but it also represents supporting our troops and their families. I want to give a special thanks to all our Veterans and their families and to the all the people and their families currently serving our country. God bless each and every one of you.
